Gallery SASAKI (Gallery Sasaki Shouten) is a compact, light-filled exhibition space on the third floor of a building just a short stroll from the Shinsaibashi arcade. The gallery occupies a single 130-square-metre floor with a ceiling height of nearly three metres, featuring an airy interior with a small atrium courtyard where seasonal greenery offers a calm contrast to the busy shopping street below. It has built a reputation as a versatile venue for contemporary art, craft displays and solo exhibitions by painters, ceramicists, textile artists and photographers. Beyond exhibitions, the gallery regularly hosts hands-on workshops, including popular embroidery sessions that draw repeat participants, as well as craft fairs and themed group shows such as bag and textile exhibitions. Viewing is by appointment, so advance contact is recommended before visiting. The space suits artists seeking an intimate, well-organised venue and visitors looking for a quieter cultural moment away from the Dotonbori crowds. If you enjoy discovering local makers and small-scale art in an unhurried setting, Gallery SASAKI is a worthwhile detour in the Shinsaibashi area. Its blend of retail gallery charm and community-focused programming gives it a distinctive character in Osaka's art scene.Operating hours not available

This place was introduced as the clothing store Sasaki in the old YTV morning drama commercial "Shinsaibashisuji TV News." It is no longer a clothing store, but it remains a fashionable place.

It's a very stylish and sophisticated space, but it's extremely difficult to find.
