It's a small but atmospheric space. It's not close to the station, but you can drop in while you're in the shopping district.

Contemporary art gallery in Shinsaibashi-suji showcasing street and urban art.
i GALLERY OSAKA is a contemporary art gallery located in the historic Semba Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, an area that developed as a merchants' town during the construction of Osaka Castle and now serves as a cultural venue for a fresh wave of artistic expression. The gallery showcases a diverse range of work rooted in street culture, including urban art, lowbrow art, pop art and photography, with an interior designed to complement the bold and contemporary nature of its exhibitions. Since opening in February 2023, i GALLERY OSAKA has hosted exhibitions featuring prominent artists such as Daido Moriyama, whose opening show focused on street photography of Osaka and New York from the 1990s, as well as exhibitions by creative teams like AC-bu and artists such as Christopher Robin Nordstrom and Masakatsu Sashie. The gallery regularly rotates its exhibitions, bringing travelling shows from Tokyo, Fukuoka and Hiroshima to Osaka, and occasionally hosts live performances and collaborative events that connect visual art with music and other creative disciplines. Whether you are a serious collector, a photography enthusiast or simply curious about the contemporary art scene in Osaka, i GALLERY OSAKA offers a fresh and engaging perspective on urban and pop art. Its location within one of the city's most historic shopping arcades creates a compelling contrast between old and new that captures the creative spirit of modern Osaka.Based on 8 Google reviews
