DROP is a live house and club venue in the basement of the TRI Front Shinsaibashi building, right by America-mura's Sankaku Park in Nishi-Shinsaibashi. Operating since the early 1990s, it has built a reputation as a fixture of Osaka's youth-culture scene, hosting live band sets, club nights, rental-hall events and circuit parties across a 350-capacity standing room with what is regarded as one of the stronger sound systems in the Minami area. The programming spans indie rock, electronic and DJ-led nights, and the venue sits atop its sister space BEYOND, with which it sometimes co-hosts larger events. Practically, DROP is a three-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station (exit 5) and six minutes from Shinsaibashi Station (exit 7), keeping it within easy reach of the Shinsaibashi arcade and America-mura's vintage shops. The bar zone offers a broad cocktail list, and the hall can be booked for private events and recordings. It suits gig-goers, touring acts, clubbers and anyone wanting a raw, standing-room live experience in the heart of Osaka's counter-culture quarter. For a sweaty, authentic taste of Osaka's live music and clubbing underground, DROP remains the spiritual centre of America-mura - a basement beating heart of the city's after-dark scene.Based on 300 Google reviews

It's been a few years since I last went, but it hasn't changed, and they also have non-alcoholic beer, so even I, who can't handle my alcohol, was able to drink something, which was nice. There were chairs on the left side, so I was able to sit and rest during the changeover, and I went with a small shoulder bag, but I was able to leave it there and enjoy the place, which was nice. It was raining so the sign wasn't very clear, but it's a place I'd like to go again.

It's located in the basement of a building just 30 seconds from the park. I was happy to see canned beer on the bar counter. The sound isn't great, but it's interesting that there are seats on the side, whether for luggage or for sitting.
