About This Event / イベントについて
The 金毘羅大祭 (Konpira Taisai) at Hozenji Temple honors Konpira — the guardian deity of maritime traffic and god of prosperous business. Ceremonies and neighborhood events fill the temple lane in the heart of Dotonbori.
It's a quieter, more local festival than the summer events — good for photography and a calm contrast to the neon just steps away. Visitors can pair it with the moss-covered Fudo-myoo statue, which is doused with water year-round by worshippers.
