The 秋祭 (Autumn Festival) at Ikutama Shrine is a traditional harvest thanksgiving ceremony — one of the shrine's key annual observances. It's smaller and more solemn than the raucous summer festival, focused on ritual and gratitude for the year's harvest.
As Osaka's oldest shrine, Ikutama's ceremonies carry centuries of continuity. The setting — a short subway ride from Dotonbori — makes it an easy, contemplative autumn stop, and it pairs well with the nearby Tenjin Matsuri grounds along the river.
