About This Event / イベントについて
道頓堀 屋台村 祭 is a year-round traditional performance series at the Dotonbori street food village, set canal-side in front of the GALA building. Local troupes perform taiko drumming, yosakoi dance, bon odori, and Awa Odori, mainly on weekend afternoons.
Visitors can watch freely, or join interactive workshops (¥1,000 participation fee) to try the rhythms and moves themselves. It fills the calendar gap between seasonal festivals with authentic, hands-on Japanese performing arts right on the Dotonbori canal.
