Spys Oasis is a medicinal curry and gluten-free bar on Namba 1-chome, run by a herbal-medicine master. Its concept, "ishoku-dogen" (food and medicine from the same source), drives a fully gluten-free kitchen that uses no dairy, white sugar or chemical additives, and works only with sun-dried natural salt. The menu centres on a "sanmi-ittai" three-curry set - yellow, black and green - plus vegan Identity curries and a toppings list drawn from across Asia. A daily-made herbal soup of 50-plus vegetables, spices and herbs anchors the offering. Lunch runs 11:30-15:00 and the bar 18:00-24:00, closed Thursdays. For a deeply considered, gluten-free curry with a medicinal backbone, Spys Oasis is one of Namba's most distinctive kitchens.
