Japan Casino School is Japan's first dedicated casino dealer training institution, established in 2004 in Tokyo with an Osaka branch on the 7th floor of Namba Marui. The school was founded to prepare professional dealers for the integrated resort (IR) era in Japan, offering intensive three-month courses covering blackjack, poker, baccarat and roulette. With the Osaka IR development increasing demand for casino dealers - an estimated 2,000-plus positions needed - the school has seen growing interest and enrolment. The Osaka campus was relocated and renovated in early 2026 to its current prominent position on Namba Marui's culture floor. The Osaka campus features a bright, open casino-style training space designed to replicate a real gaming environment, with an adjacent amusement casino cafe where students can gain practical experience. Courses are taught by experienced instructors, including the school's honorary principal Vic Taucer, who has over 40 years of international casino education experience. The school offers free trial sessions and information sessions, with new enrolment intakes in January, April, July and October. Class sizes are capped at 20 students to ensure quality instruction, and graduates are exempt from the practical skills portion of the Japan Casino Dealer Association certification exam.
