A teppanyaki steakhouse in Shinsaibashi serving Japanese wagyu and Kobe-style beef cooked on an iron griddle.
Kobe Beef Steak Ken is a teppanyaki restaurant on the second floor of the Nippo Fine Plaza Building, a few minutes from Shinsaibashisuji. The restaurant specialises in Japanese beef, including Kobe-style cuts, seared on a hot iron griddle in front of diners.
The counter and table seating put you close to the chef, who prepares steak, seasonal vegetables and sides such as garlic rice or miso soup as part of set meals or à la carte options. Reservations are recommended, especially in the evening, as the intimate dining room and the quality of meat attract both tourists and locals.
For a splurge meal in Shinsaibashi, this is a solid choice if you want to experience teppanyaki without leaving central Osaka. Arrive hungry and be prepared to savour each bite, as the pace is usually unhurried and the beef is the star.

This place is the top tier Kobe experience! The owners know what they are doing and the quality of the raw materials is the best you can get! We were lucky to get Kobe A5, BMS 11/12 certified. Loved it and felt lucky to experience this super beef in a warm, welcome & authentic atmosphere!

First thing we did when we landed in Osaka is a face to face reservation because they don’t take reservations online. When you do the reservation they take a reservation fee 5.000 jpy per person. I really wanted to try this place. We had a course meal and ate Kobe Beef Loin. We had one small size and one medium size kobe beef loin. They give you the birth certificate of the cow and tell you everything about it. Meat tasted beyond good! It was so juicy. They have a nice wine and sake menu too. I recommend you to order to course menu, you won’t regret it. They were so sincere and nice. It was a great experience for us. Thank you for everything!

Me and my girlfriend went for our anniversary two days ago and it was amazing. The food is delicious and unforgettable, the atmosphere very relaxed and joyful. The chef has been one of the most funny and friendly people we met in Japan. He made us feel very welcomed. Highly recommended!❤️❤️
