A Dotonbori snack shop specialising in freshly made onigiri rice balls and simple Japanese comfort food.
Ginshari Omusubi En is a casual food spot on a Dotonbori side street, focused on omusubi, the classic Japanese rice balls wrapped around fillings such as salmon, pickled plum, and tuna mayonnaise. It is a handy choice for a quick breakfast, light lunch, or portable snack while exploring the area. The rice is the highlight here, seasoned and shaped to order so each onigiri tastes fresh. A small menu of side dishes and drinks is usually available, making it easy to put together a simple, satisfying meal without sitting down for a full restaurant experience.
Pick up a few rice balls to eat by the canal or take with you as you walk towards Shinsaibashi; it is a low-cost, authentic bite that suits travellers on the move.

Absolutely outstanding food – fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff were warm and cheerful, making the experience even better. My family and I, having spent a week in Osaka, already returned a second time.

The onigiri here is incredibly tasty, and service is lightning fast. The staff are lovely, and after six days in Japan this place serves the best onigiri I''''ve tried. The egg yolk and minced chicken onigiri comes highly recommended, and they also have a selection of souvenirs to purchase.

These onigiri are amazing! The egg yolk with stewed beef is a must‑try. Although the shop is tiny, customers move in and out quickly, so you never have to wait long.

A charming spot with a cozy vibe. The staff are welcoming and kind. The onigiri are made to order and packed with generous fillings. We also tried two fruity alcoholic drinks that were refreshing and delicious. The place is spotless. Highly recommended!

There is a wide variety of onigiri to choose from. I tried the tuna with mayo, spicy roe, octopus mixed rice, and shrimp tempura rice ball – all were delicious. The drink menu is also impressive.
