Dotombori Kamukura at Dotonbori, Osaka

On our final night in Japan, my brother and I chose Kamakura for dinner. The restaurant had a straightforward self‑order kiosk at the entrance, and there was counter seating on both the ground level and a second floor. The staff welcomed us warmly and showed us upstairs.

We arrived just before closing time. The ramen featured a light, flavorful broth that contradicted the unfavorable reviews we had read.

While exploring the Namba area of Osaka, we came across this ramen place. My nine‑year‑old daughter was extremely hungry and craving ramen. We were not sure what to do at first, but one of the chefs stepped out, greeted us warmly, and pointed us toward the ordering system.

I enjoyed the ramen with extra green onions, which tasted great. The fried chicken was decent. The seating was a bit cramped, and each floor was tended by a single staff member who seemed quite busy.
