Baxter Osaka is the Kansai outpost of the Italian luxury-furniture brand Baxter, operated in Japan by general agent Omobito Co., Ltd. The showroom opened on 26 April 2025 on the sixth-floor furniture floor of Osaka Takashimaya at 5-1-5 Namba, bringing the brand's leather-led sofas, armchairs, beds and lighting to one of the city's most established department stores. Baxter is best known for its deep obsession with leather, with over 150 leather options that the brand calls "the magic of Baxter." The Osaka Takashimaya space showcases signature pieces such as the Chester Moon sofa, the Budapest Soft and the Anais armchair, alongside rugs, lighting and outdoor collections. The boutique hosts special installations - including the "Baxter Journey" travelling exhibition - that present the brand's seasonal collections in a curated, room-set format. Visitors can explore the Italian-luxury world of the brand without leaving central Osaka. For interior designers, architects and homeowners planning a high-end project, Baxter Osaka offers a hands-on way to experience the brand's leather and craftsmanship in person.
