サンタンジェロ
1980年からなんばCITYで営業する薪窯ピッツェリア。西日本初の石窯で本格イタリアンピザを焼き上げています。
Sant-AnGeLo is a stone-oven, wood-fired pizzeria that has been a fixture of Namba CITY's South Wing since 1980, when it opened as one of the shopping complex's inaugural tenants. In 1988, it moved to its current location and imported a genuine Italian stone oven, making it the first proper pizzeria in western Japan to do so. For over 35 years, the kitchen has been turning out pizzas with a 24-hour low-temperature aged dough, briefly wood-fired for a distinctive chewy texture. Beyond the pizza, the menu draws on southern Italian traditions with antipasti featuring directly imported Italian prosciutto and water buffalo mozzarella, alongside pasta and dolce. Lunch and dinner are served daily, with weekend hours extending through the afternoon, and the 66-seat dining room - complete with sofa seating - can accommodate private parties of up to 60. Credit cards are accepted, an English menu is available, and the restaurant is non-smoking throughout. For a genuine taste of Italy in the heart of Namba, Sant-AnGeLo remains a trusted choice, its decades-old stone oven still producing the pizzas that first made its name. The lively, Italian-speaking atmosphere and consistent quality have earned it a devoted following. Whether for a family lunch, a dinner with friends or a celebration, it captures the cheerful spirit of an Italian neighbourhood pizzeria.
