Teppankobo Panyo is a 12-seat teppanyaki restaurant on the first floor of the Chiyo-no-ya building in Dotonbori, where the counter and a single half-private room look onto a hot plate that turns out black wagyu, live car shrimp and abalone. The kitchen lets diners choose between special-grade black wagyu sirloin and Matsusaka beef for the main steak, and the signature Panyo Dinner opens with a house mini burger and foie gras. Courses span from a 4,200 yen lunch to a 17,000 yen Cosmos seafood-focused set, and the half-private room looks onto the Dotonbori river. The room opened in May 2021 and accepts reservations for anniversaries and small celebrations. For a theatrical teppanyaki meal with serious ingredients and a river view, Panyo is a well-priced hideaway.
