The stationery shop was run by a very friendly owner. Although I didn't find the stationery I wanted, I felt the warmth and hospitality of people from a foreign country.

Fuki Stationery Store (Fuki Bunguten) is a long-standing neighbourhood stationery shop at 2-4-4 Dotonbori, in Chuo Ward, just a two- to three-minute walk from Namba Station's 24th and 25th exits. The shop carries the core range you would expect of a Japanese bunguten, including pens, notebooks, paper goods, school and office supplies, and small sundries, serving locals, nearby offices and the steady stream of visitors passing through the Dotonbori area. Opening hours run from 10:30 to 19:30, and the shop has earned a warm local reputation for friendly, personal service, with reviewers noting staff who have gone out of their way to help even near closing time. There is no on-site parking, so it is best reached on foot from Namba, and the location just south of the Dotonbori bridge makes it a convenient stop if you are exploring the canal-side sights and need a practical item or a small stationery treat. If you need a pen, a notebook or a quick office essential while in the Dotonbori area, Fuki Stationery Store is a genuine, old-school alternative to the convenience chains. Its no-frills, helpful character is a quiet contrast to the neon spectacle just around the corner.
