Bar Route is a Shinsaibashi cocktail bar that opens at 3pm, earning it a loyal following among Osaka's daytime drinkers, and runs through to 1am with no cover charge. The owner-bartender hails from Fukui and trained with the Japan Bartenders Association, building a list that leans into classic cocktails, craft gin and seasonal collaborations with distillers such as Sakurao and Bushmills. The room sits at the back of the Nippo Fine Plaza building, a short walk from Namba station, and the bar runs regular campaigns that pair drinks with branded glassware, signed scripts and limited bottles. Pure ice is carefully temperature-controlled to round the flavour of spirits over a slow melt. For a properly made cocktail at any hour, from afternoon to small hours, Bar Route is a personable, well-run Shinsaibashi choice.
