About This Event / イベントについて
なんば元気まつり is an EDION-sponsored summer festival held at Namba Square, the open plaza opposite the Edion Namba main store in the heart of Namba. It brings sports, music, and pop-character entertainment together for one afternoon in the middle of Osaka's busiest shopping district.
The 2026 lineup features a Universal Studios Japan 25th anniversary special stage, a Gamba Osaka OB talk show with former Japan internationals Yasuda Michito and Kaji Ryo, a live DJ set by FM802's Tacty (Oobatsuri Takuhito), and a parade of TV mascot characters including Raiyon-chan, Ebishi, Takoru-kun, Hachiemon, and Shinobi. Free viewing areas mean you can drop in without a ticket.
The event runs rain or shine, with the latest official word posted the evening before on Edion's official X. Special viewing areas are ticketed but there is a large free standing zone. Bring cash for food and the Edion Namba store and Namba GATE neighbourhood have plenty nearby.

Arrive early for a spot in the free viewing zone — the USJ stage draws big crowds.
自由観覧エリアは早めに。USJステージは混雑する。
Bring water and a sunshade — the square is fully outdoors in August heat.
なんば広場は屋外なので水分・日よけ対策を。
