About This Event / イベントについて
Takigi Noh (薪能) is outdoor Noh theater performed by firelight rather than stage lighting. At Ikutama Shrine, Noh and Kyogen plays are presented on the shrine grounds at the height of summer — the flickering torches, chanting, and masked actors create one of Osaka's most atmospheric cultural evenings.
The standing area is free, though paid seats may be available. Arrive early — free areas fill up. It's a rare chance to see traditional performing arts in a historic shrine setting, just a short subway ride from Dotonbori.
