About This Event / イベントについて
大阪・光の饗宴 (Osaka Hikari no Kyoen) is the umbrella event for Osaka's winter illuminations, running roughly 90 days from early November. Its two core programs — the 御堂筋イルミネーション and OSAKA光のルネサンス — are joined by area programs across the city.
The Midosuji illumination (Nov 3 – Dec 31) is the headline: a 4km light avenue from Umeda to Namba that passes directly through Dotonbori. The Minami section uses pink and 5-colour mixes reflecting the historic entertainment district (南地五花街). The whole event is free to view.
